In the Advocate (2017)

Important note: listening in headphones or in an otherwise silent room will improve your chances of enchantment by bird chirp.

This album was recorded live in its entirety in the goose pen of the Advocate Tree in the Forest of Nisene Marks, Aptos, California, in January 2016. The Advocate Tree was a 1,000 year old redwood tree, 263 feet tall with a circumference of 45 feet. After storms uprooted her in January of 2017, the artists felt compelled to publicly share the recordings. This release celebrates the life of a tree that was saved from logging long enough to fall in its own time, as nature saw fit.
